Daren Miller, a former participant in the Jamaica Youth Ambassadors Programme, has gained acceptance to participate in a Commonwealth leadership development programme to be held in Scotland this month.
33Sixty Glasgow, a programme run by Common Purpose, in partnership with The Scottish Government and Legacy 2014, with the support of The University of Strathclyde, will bring together 100 Commonwealth leaders to explore and appreciate the diversity within the Commonwealth and tackle the challenge of private-public partnerships.
Common Purpose runs local courses for leaders in cities across the world, and global programmes for leaders from over 100 countries across six continents. It gives participants the inspiration, skills and connections to become better leaders, both at work and in society. Each year, 4,000 leaders become Common Purpose alumni.
33Sixty will take place in Glasgow from April 11-14, the same week as the Commonwealth Study Conference, CSCLeaders in Glasgow.
CSCLeaders assembles exceptional senior leaders from across the Commonwealth to tackle challenges, build the global relationships and develop the cultural intelligence needed by the leaders of tomorrow. This will be the first time that the conference will be held in Scotland and will be the 60th year of the conferences; the first of the HRH The Duke of Edinburgh’s Commonwealth Study Conferences took place in 1956.
It is expected that participants at the 33Sixty event will have an opportunity to network with leaders at the CSCLeaders conference.
